Submission Guidelines
Africa Digest is dedicated to publishing the finest scholarship relating to the African continent. Africa Digest invites the submission of original manuscripts on a full range of topics related to Africa in all disciplines. We welcome submissions that are of a time-sensitive nature and that adds value to the development of Africa.
Submissions must meet the scholarship standards within the appropriate discipline. We also require that manuscripts adhere to the journal’s formatting and reference styles as indicated below.
Submissions accepted for consideration will be evaluated by at least two external reviewers. Africa Digest expects that the content of all manuscripts is original and that the article has not been accepted for publication elsewhere.
Articles should not be more than 3000 words and include a short biography (100 words or less) with author's full name, title, and current affiliation. Receipt of all submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail.
Articles may be submitted from the contact
us page.
Articles can be submitted in MSWord or Rich Text Format. The latter is preferred for larger files. Manuscripts should be typed in Arial 12 point font, with double-line spacing.
Submissions accepted for consideration will be evaluated anonymously by at least two external reviewers. Africa Digest expects that the content of all manuscripts to be original and the article not to have been accepted for publication elsewhere.
Acceptance depends on the quality of the manuscript, review process, and the number of manuscripts, which have already been accepted.
Welcome
It gives us great pleasure to present this new
endeavor to the people and friends of Africa. You must have begun to tire of all the media
coverage of poverty, aids and under-development in the
continent of Africa for the past years. Africa Digest will resist the temptation of giving you more of the
same. Instead, we have chosen to write to a broad readership not putting our name in the spotlight but
to spotlight current issues in development that shape the continent of Africa and the world. Africa Digest
is different from other publications because it is non-partisan, focuses on objective analysis of
development matters from a variety of perspectives. Its readers are nourished with bold and provocative
reports. Join us in this new challenge.
Please tell us how to say WELCOME in your African dialect.
